Yaawn. I suppose it is sort of lazy of me not to blog everyday. Though at the same time, I can justify it the other way. There's no point of blogging if there's nothing to blog about. Of course, you can always argue that there is always something to blog about.

Oh that siggy up there? (: There's a lot of history behind that. It's been with me for how long...hmm...6-7 years now? Well. Maybe longer. I certainly didn't make it. So not gonna take credit for it.

It's incredibly old...and so are the memories that come with it. Some would think of these memories as childhood summers wasted...

I don't.

Of course I don't, right?

Well, let me tell the story anyways...even if no one wants to listen to it. (: Gives me something to blog about. I don't want to blog about that horrible science test we had today anyways.

So around the time when I was 5 or 6. Or 7. Wait...Pretty sure it was 5. Okay, somewhere around then. ._. It was a long time ago anyway. Like more than half my life ago. I remember when we first got our PS. Our PlayStation.

I was blown away. All those games...I was entranced by the virtual world. And of course, I still haven't left it. It's stuck with me this long...and I absolutely refuse to let go. Even if my friends don't agree with its wonders. I know, I know...You're going to say I was addicted since I was 5.

I'm not going to argue with you. Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. [This "you" I keep referring to...don't you wish you knew who it was? Ahahaha. I'll share that secret another time.]

Anyways, my favourite thing in the world back then were Chocobos [CHOH-KO-BOHs]. They were constantly on my mind. One of my brother's friends made the signature you see above. I think it was back 5 years ago. When I was 9. Not a surprise that 2-3 years later, I had Adobe Photoshop on my computer. But that's not the point.

The point is...

Wait...Maybe I won't be so point-blank this time.

You can guess what the point is. I'm tired of spitting out all my secrets.

There are some things I'd rather keep to myself.

lyrics.
You can bow and pretend

That you don’t, don’t, don’t know you’re a legend
Time, time, time hasn’t told anyone else yet

Let my love loose again

Because that one great final mistake
Is the one thing I won't let you make

So take my advice, and save your goodbyes

I won't let you fall apart on your own

You're never alone

Maybe it's just my imagination

But I see you stare just a little too long

And it makes me start to wonder

So baby call me crazy

But I think you feel it too
Maybe I, Maybe I
Just got to get next to you

Promise I'll be kind

But I won't stop until that boy is mine
Baby you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

I close both locks below the window

I close both blinds and turn away
In cards and flowers on your window

Your friends all plead for you to stay

Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple

Sometimes goodbye's the only way

And the shadow of the day

Will embrace the world in grey

Breathe and I'll carry you away into the velvet sky

And we'll stir the stars around and watch them fall away

Into the Hudson Bay and plummet out of sight and sound

The open summer breeze will sweep you through the hills
Where I live in the Alpine heights

Below the northern lights I spend my coldest nights alone awake

And thinking of the weekend we were in love
Please excuse me, I'm not thinking clear

It must just be stress

But I likely shouldn't be here, I'm such a mess
Can I let the trees do the talking
Can I let the ground do the walking

Can I let the sky fill what's missing

Can I let my mouth do the listening, the listening
I never really ever know what to say

When all of my emotions get in the way

I'm just trying to get us on the same page

Another day, another yesterday. It seems like time is something that a person just can't get enough of. And there's me being all philosophical again, trying to seem like I'm actually mature enough to comprehend such big topics. Then again, maybe I am.

Anyways, this is how my day flowed:
Applied Skills - Eyes were really hurting. 2001: A Space Odyssey. This movie is quite something. I'll talk about it later in my super blog.
Socials - Recognition Assembly and then a SS quiz. Fun.
Lunch - Was alright. Had to buy lunch though. :/ First time in a while.
PE - Gymnastics. Did alright on my vaults. So happy. <3
Foods - Egg Foo Yung wasn't that bad. :)

Onto my super blog since I'm short of time to elaborate anymore on my day.

2001: a space odyssey
Even though we are only halfway through the movie, I can tell why it's won so many awards and is the favourite of many. It's silent at first. Even as the movie is just beginning, you are captured by a sense of suspense and fear. You feel like something will pop out at you. But nothing does. That's the thing. The director has us under this impression and then leaves us with nothing but interest, but at the same time...we aren't displeased that it's a false impression.

It's strange really. The part where Hal kills everyone except Dave was anticipated by everyone in the whole room, but yet when it actually happened, we were all a little shocked. I guess the fact that technology killing humans is scary, no matter how used the idea is. Which is why I guess Terminator was so popular.

Fear, suspense, and interest is wrapped up. The director is patient and confident, the audience impatient and eager to know more, to see more.

Oh how cruel directors are.

Thinking back to yesterday's train of thought...I realize that if everyone didn't have different interests, we wouldn't have so many different jobs. How the element of "everything affects everything" is in place with this concept.

Interesting presentations. Great Socials Studies class. Square dancing fun. Very nice jelly roll cake today. Sweet...though a little messed up. x3

Anyways, rather than talk about the ugliness of my report card, I shall do my super blog.

EVERYTHING IS OK!

Is it really? But that's not the point of course. From what I saw, they brought out their message of piece in order to point out the fact that people are being suppressed from their freedom of speech. It's totally true. Nowadays, the police try to cage us into doing the proper thing, but not allowing us room to breathe, to spread our opinions.

The video itself and the concept itself were quite funny. The police versus the message bringers. It was a pretty harmless and innocent message and yet the police persisted to get them to stop talking. Pretty restricting, no?

They did bring up the point of "everything being okay", but at the same time, they brought up the point that everything wasn't okay.

They talked about Global Warming as one of the issues. I found it funny that they promoted the opposite of doing things to preserve the planet and at the same time, their tone was sarcastic so it made it promote the right things at the same time. It's a humorous way of getting people to listen to you. I guess it worked.

The also talked about terrorism in an interesting manner. They were provoking the police using terrorism in a way. At the same time, they weren't supporting terrorism, so the police had problems trying to find a reason to stop their bringing of "peace." It was funny watching the conflict and it was understandable why they did it. The issue about freedom of public speech has been around forever, but only a few are brave enough to stand up to oppression. So it's really something to think about.

We wouldn't have freedom at all if brave hearts hadn't stood up.

This is just another act of standing up, although smaller.

Though not everyone may understand the point.

I appreciate it.

Really.

Today was a typical Day 1 in a sense. Not too much stress, not too less.

So in Applied Skills, we watched the One Love video again. And we're supposed to relate it to Particle Physics.

Simple enough I guess. Lyrics first, then concept. :)

One Love, One Heart
Let's get together and feel all right
Hear the children crying (One Love)
Hear the children crying (One Heart)
Sayin' give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Sayin' let's get together and feel all right

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One Love)
There is one
question I'd really like to ask (One Heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?
Believe me

One Love, One Heart
Let's get
together and feel all right
As it was in the
beginning (One Love)So shall it be in the end (One Heart)
Give thanks and praise to the
Lord and I will feel all right
One more thing

Let's get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (One Love)
So when the Man comes there will be no no doom (One Song)
Have pity on those whose chances grove thinner
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of
Creation
Sayin' One Love, One Heart
Let's get together and feel all right

I'm pleading to mankind (One Love)
Oh Lord (One Heart)

Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right

First of all, you can't discover anything until you question it. Particle physics is about discovering new things together. If discoveries weren't shared, we'd be pretty clueless right now, wouldn't we? We're always trying to figure out the beginning of our universe, devising countless theories that explain the world and relating it all to what we're made of. People call the Higg's Boson the God (Lord) particle because it will explain the standard model of physics fully and prove theories to be true. Creation is one thing we've always been wondering about. What creates life? Particle physics is trying to explain that. The last line was just something I felt should be emphasized. Working alone can accomplish less than working together.
The whole concept from the video is combining knowledge or combining different people's opinions. With all the different theories, we have to work together in order to create something big, something true, and most magnificent. Rather than trying to discover something alone, it's much easier to work towards something big together. Particle physics requires a lot of thinking and changing. If we all work together, that big job can be divided into smaller ones.

I think that applies to everyday life too. Teamwork > Individual work. Never push everything on yourself. Find a friend to help you. Synergize.
